This section of the website provides News and Announcements
It includes information about what is happening with the kind donations we have received for the Aisling Charitable Trust
Today is the 23 December 2021 and it's ten years you left this world.
Here is a video featuring a composition I played at your funeral and a recording of you singing 'Come Home'. For all the people who know and love you.
Missing you Aisling... Mum and Dad x
Before Aisling died lots of friends asked us "How can we help Aisling?" Aisling needed new lungs and had nearly completed her assessment to be put onto the Lung Transplant list. The fact is that even if she got onto the list she could have been waiting 18 months for a match. (time she just didn't have)
There just are not enough registered organ donors!
Most people when asked would be happy to register but only 28% of us have joined the online Organ Donor Register.
More than 10,000 people in the UK currently need a transplant. Of these, 1,000 die each year - that is 3 a day.
Did you know that your organs can save up to five lives?
Update May 2020!
On 20 May 2020, the law around organ donation in England was changed to allow more people to save more lives.
